Throw your soul through every open door…with video!

Throw your soul through every open door,
count your blessing to find what you look for.
Turn your sorrow into blessed gold,

Adelle: Rolling in the Deep

So this week has been all about learning. I have delved into learning more about myself and trying to listen more to my authentic self. Yes, I have that little voice inside my head but it can be insecure, worried, and some times down right mean. I know there is a more authentic voice that needs to come from my heart instead. So I was in the library and stumbled upon this book, “Stop saying, I’m Fine.” (I fell from a horse once and spent half an hour saying repeatedly, “I’m ok” and don’t remember any of it. (explains a lot Winking smile))  So I thought it would be a good place to start.

New toys are fun!

The new laptop finally arrived! Wow the screen is huge and the pictures look fabulous. A bit of a learning curve while I figure out Windows 7 and some of the software.
In fact I am writing this via Windows Live Writer (hehe). So this blog is all about learning new skills. Below you will find some pictures for your entertainment and my learning Smile enjoy and all feedback is welcome. Still working on the video thing.

A little quiet time.......and a first of the season

Sorry I haven't gotten on the computer in a while. The house computer was finally fixed but we decided that the desktop would be for the kids and my husbands business only, since it is six years old (even with a new hard drive). So I just ordered a laptop for myself. Not the MAC that I wanted (like trying to afford a Mercedes) but another Dell. I have only had Dell's and they have always lasted. The desktop is the first one that died on me. I looked at the Toshiba but the reviews were horrible. Got a great deal through Costco (team small dog says: that I will be taken over by the robots anyway since I live so close to one ;-)  Now I am waiting for it to arrive.

Meantime, I only have a few pictures to show you of our first kayak paddle of the season. It was almost 70 degrees out on Thursday, so my hubby and I played hookie, sent the kids off to school and went for a paddle just the two of us (oh and surf lol).

Point man and barker of turtles!

If I knew then what I know now..........and change

Today is an official Agility Blog Day!

There are tons of agility blogs out there on the big wide web. An inspired one of us (Steve @ agility nerd ), last year started an agility blog action day. They discussed the topic of volunteering. Well, now it has been expanded to some general topics with action days for the year. Today is the first of the general topics.

If I knew then what I know now.....

So read on, then head over to Dog Agility Blog Action Event to see what every one has had to say!

If I knew then what I know now.....

In life, I try not to have regrets. Yet retrospection is a necessary skill for learning and goal making. The only if then statement I can think of would be about saving money. It feels to have taken me longer than I would have liked to learn the art of saving. It seems to be the only time that smaller goals will eat away at the bigger goal.

Now for agility. We all "ruin" our Novice A dog. There is no getting around it. We start out just interested in having a good time with our dog. Looks like fun. What can be so hard? Some jumps, tunnels, A-frame easy peasy. Oh, we have to hit that yellow spot? Oh, wait weave poles what are those? You want me to change direction while doing all this? He has to sit and stay there while I go where? Can't we just run a course? No leash in an open field with 100's of other dogs running around "are you crazy?!?!?"

I think if I truly knew then what I know now

I came home from our Florida trip to glad to sleep in my own bed again, just to wake up the next morning crippled. My herniated disk has decided to act up. Off to chiropractor and back on the 'wagon' for my food allergies. Oh, and thank you to who ever was on the plane sick. I got your head cold. With the crazy schedules and all the traveling it is not uncommon for me to take the short path and cheat. I always pay but this time I really did myself in. My body is furious with me and letting me know it loud and clear. It is time for a detox. Hard core watching of
